Hey, I haven’t even wished you a Happy New Year yet. Happy New Year!
There are many things I would like to resolve to do with 2013, but one big thing is finishing up all of the many projects I’ve had on my plate for a while and then posting more comics on the internet. Especially with Lere here. He has stories to tell, and if you listen close enough, they may find their way into your heaaaarttttsss. What’s not to love about a pony-tailed alien who loves cuddling and butts?! Not a damn thang!
I have sucked at the internet this past year. It was a lesson in taking too much on at once. Paralysing, to be honest, but important. But the good news is, as I complete more of these projects I get more excited about doing my own stuff again. I’m looking forward to evolving 2013! I wanna be a Flareon!!!!

Truthfully, I am warming you up for some new Lere comics. I had been working on something to release at TCAF, but I like to do a good job rather than rush it. It’s basically me being “I’m stressed out and have a lot of work to do, let’s make more work for myself and draw Lere hiding from the sun and snuggling with his friends” but then it gets so long because of all the little moments I want to put in it and soon it’s an accidental epic tale. Life. Story.
HA! I was going through the files on my old computer and I stumbled across this older drawing of Lere from 2009. Hello, memory lane! I thought I would share it with tumblr. The original title of this one was “Blind Date Comes Early”. Ohhhhhhhh.
Speaking of markers, here’s a quickie of Lere. I’m currently working on a new comic project with him, but since I’m also working on this very big Finnegan project and another big unnameable project I always have to do some practice drawings to get him right. His shapes are softer and more adorable than Finnegan’s, I think (sorry Finnegan). You can read a few older comics about him online HERE.
Lere is all science fiction and awkward sexual encounters. Hahaha.

Another of Lere and Jane. This one I actually put up a few months ago, but then I recently decided to soften up the colors and I did of lot of line stuff. While working on it, I realized I didn’t leave much up to the imagination in terms of what they are or will be up to (I usually leave it a little more ambigous…). HAHA.
